This
dog was saved from the Lexington Rd House fire today. This is Mickey.
Apparently, the owner let the dog out before the fire started. Mickey
was found scared and shivering this morning at Stringtown Elementary.
Teachers cared for Mickey and called us to assist. Mickey is now at
VHS. They will evaluate him and if no family or friends are found, he
will be available for adoption. Please help Mickey find a good home! .

If it's not storming, it's firecrackers going off! Poor pooches. Minnie's got her storm jacket on.

Valentine’s Day is
quickly approaching and love is definitely in the air, but so is
potential danger for your pets. Pet Sitters International (PSI) offers
pet owners a few hints to keep pets safe this Valentine’s Day.
Two of the most common Valentine’s Day gifts, chocolate and flowers, can be extremely hazardous to pets.
Last
year, The American Society for the Protection Against Cruelty to
Animals (ASPCA) saw a 74 percent increase in cases of chocolate
ingestion in the week before Valentine’s Day. |

Well, I did overnight care and have been to 5 client's homes already this morning. I cared for 9 dogs, 4 cats (including insulin injection), an aquarium and have been on two dog walks! I think I'll take a break now. Life is good!
